Rainbow Ridge Prosperity Year 1

one sim ”year” and it took me all week to post it, I guess I’m allright. XD
From the beginning:

Emily is exhausted. Being a single parent is hard work!
She works all day as a Bookie, but really wants to get in
the Gamer career (don’t we all?!). For a Pleasure sim,
Emily’s not getting much pleasure.

Not that the kids are either. Lee is always in the red,
if she would just make one best friend, she’d be happier.
Problem is, she’s too miserable to make nice with the kids,
so she may never make friends at this rate.

Out of desperation and in fear of a mental breakdown,
Emily heads to Rainbow Ridge Park, hoping to meet
someone. Anyone.

And then I hear “Squeeee!” Not, not from Emily. From me.
Caulfield Danger, straight from mjo5oh’s Danger legacy.

Sadly, for me, he and Emily only have one bolt, which may
be good enough for a fling, but since I’m playing for True Love
only, they won’t be getting married.
The Mullins Family

Susie is having problems at home as well. Romance sim
Susie just wants to go on a date, and atleast get her first
kiss before she heads for college. But her only friend in
town, Randy, isn’t interested.

Yet. After a couple of rejections, Susie finally gets that
aspiration boost she needed.

The next morning she heads to the park, and I see her
swooning over someone.

It’s Bell! From
simsforaranya’s Forest legacy. It seems
Susie think’s Bell is cuter than Randy. Well, yeah, duh, but I
have other plans for Bell in this neighborhood.

Ok, the boring truth was that Susie was swooning over
Nicholas Boyd, Mr. Popularity himself. But if they make
friends with Bell, she’ll be going to college with them soon,
and who knows what’ll happen there!

Susie’s grandfather is also making friends at the park.
Seems money minded Thomas has two bolts with Emily
Marsh, but that’s still not good enough for me.

Thomas is extremely playful, which makes him tickle
everyone, not just love interests, even his own grown-up
son. Kinda weird, if you ask me, but eh, who am I to judge?
I direct pixels to pee and eat for my entertainment,
so I can’t say anything.

Poor little Joshua, so shy and serious. He even fails
at muffin making.
But when he’s all grown up with
a dream job career, he’ll get the last laugh,
as all the nerds do eventually.
The Boyd Family

Romance sim John must be getting desperate, he
autonomously starts chatting up my beloved sim self.
But she’s not interested, she has her dream man, Don TYVM.

Who obviously has good taste in clothes, but shouldn’t make
a habit of standing next to the dashing Danger heir, he just
looks old and small-eyed in comparision.
I did not just say that about my DL!

My simself’s chance has passed, John finds three bolts of
True Love passion with Melissa Fancey, and she moves in.

Like John, Melissa is a Romance sim, but she only wants to
top the Slacker career, whereas John wants 20 simultaneous
loves. I really stink at that one, but we’ll see.

While John and Melissa get to know each other better,
Emily Marsh is in the living room, helping herself to a game
of darts with his teenaged son, Ethan.

Ethan is a Popularity sim with no friends, and he recently
lost his afterschool job, so I am pretty much letting him do
whatever it takes to make him happy.

His brother Nicholas, who is far more outgoing (obviously)
has also headed to the park to meet eligible ladies to
befriend. Namely the cute Susie Mullins.

Apparently Randy likes Susie more than I thought, and
opens up a can of whoop butt on Nich, who now wants
to “drink Randy”, which is really creepy and just plain weird.
The Randolph Family I

Popularity sim Maria just wants to become General,
but in the meantime has taken a job as a Playground
Monitor, to put food on the table for her girls. At the end
of the day she is grumpy and tired, so I send her to the
gym to hopefully make a friend. Or two.

When I finally manage to pull her away from the DJ Booth,
she quickly introduces herself to Caulfield, but he’s a man
on a mission, and he doesn’t hang around.
This gym is
fabulous, BTW, made by FaithfulApostle, it’s called
Workout World and can be found here.
The Randolph Family II

Across the street, at the “other” Randolph home, Romance
sim Robert is trying to get friendly with Andrea Hogan,
who is having none of that. Poor Robert also wants to have
20 simultaneous loves, in his short life that’s not likely to happen.
Sorry?

But I feel bad, look at his face! He does have two bolts
with redheaded Emily, but that’s not enough for me, so I
am determined to get him a new True Love before he dies.
Besides, I don’t want his daughter Jessie taken away.
That would be a Very Bad Thing.
That’s it for Year/Day One in Rainbow Ridge.
Thank you so much for spending ten minutes with us!
Or more, if you’re a slow reader.
